Team Drivers

Very few companies allow a passenger to ride in the cab along with the driver for any amount of time, much less on a permanent basis. At WEL, we not only allow passengers — we employ some of them.

WEL employs over 50 driving teams. Together, they keep one vehicle moving on a more consistent basis.

The advantages are innumerable. WEL customers like the approach because when a truck has two drivers

operating in shifts, their load is kept moving at all times.

Drivers like the team approach for countless reasons including having companionship on the road.

In addition to the social and logistical benefits of operating as a team, WEL Team Drivers are eligible for all of the same benefits as our Company Drivers, including:

The Open Road Just Got Friendlier

  • Excellent per-mile base pay
  • Medical/Dental/Life/Vision after 90 days of employment
  • Vacation and Holiday Pay
  • Per diem allowance
  • Referral bonuses

To find out more about becoming a WEL Team Driver, request our Team Drivers brochure and for minimum employment requirements, see Prospective Driver Requirements.

Rider Program

WEL is one of the few companies which allow passengers along for the ride.

We know firsthand how tough it can be out on the road. It doesn’t have to be lonely. With our rider program, you can welcome aboard your spouse, children, friends and family, and even a fury friend.

Ask your recruiter for more details on the Rider Program.
