In the Community

Certainly we, as a company, expend the majority of our energy to helping our customers with their industry needs. However, we also realize that our efforts are needed in other ways.

We firmly believe that we have responsibilities as members of a community – local, national, and even global. For that reason, we encourage voluntarily reaching out and doing what’s right to help in situations where our assistance is needed.

An example is demonstrated by the establishment of the Wally Tielens Memorial Fund, and our participation in the annual World’s Largest Truck Convoy® to benefit Special Olympics of Wisconsin.

WEL Employees at the New Community Shelter

We strive to help our greater community in other ways, as well. WEL has developed a number of green initiatives over the years to help ease the strain on the local, national, and global environment.

As a SmartWay™ Transportation Partner, WEL pledges to consume the least amount of fuel necessary in going about daily business. The reduction in fuel usage cuts down the amount of CO2 and other harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere, while also keeping costs lower for our clients. These reductions are made possible by equipping our vehicles with the latest technology in emission reduction systems, engines, and even tires.

These efforts are a longstanding tradition at WEL. While it is important to provide customers with the best possible service, it is equally important to be of help to the community in which WEL operates.

We invite you to become part of the WEL team. Find out what a difference a career with WEL can mean.

Good People Doing Good Things

When you do things because it’s the right thing to do, and you do it frequently, there is a tendency to take it in stride.

As employers, we understand … and applaud the humility, humbleness and generosity found in many members of the WEL team.

Yet, what many of our employees do of their own volition is quite impressive.

It’s not unusual to find our employees taking it upon themselves to go out into the community and serve our and their neighbors. You will find them in homeless shelters where they help to provide emergency housing, meals, support groups, and even schooling to those in need.

It’s little wonder our volunteers are proud to help out in the community, and find the work very personally rewarding.

Good people do good things.
