Ice and snow build up on the front of this truck equipped with Bendix Fusion can cause big headaches for our Company Drivers and Independent Contractors. Behind the center of the bumper is the Fusion radar. If the radar cannot see due to it being blocked with snow and ice it could cause your Fusion system to brake intermittently. An effortless way to prevent this is to spray the area in front of the radar with WD-40 or similar product. You do not need much, just a quick spray. This will help keep snow and ice from sticking to that area and prevent any issues. Always clean this area when doing your pre-trip.
Stay safe out there this wintery season!
