Non-Driver Positions

Operations

Our Operations Department is made up of Driver Managers, Customer Service, and Planners.

Driver Manager
De Pere, WI

Driver Managers lead the communication with our company drivers and independent contractors. Successful Driver Managers have the ability to communicate positively to a variety of personalities with a wide range of topics including but not limited to: daily activities including dispatching, routing and tracking; coordinating truck and trailer maintenance or repairs; administering operation policies within government regulations, safety rules, and administrative policies; and monitoring driver’s performance to insure on time service. A minimum of 2 years within the transportation industry is required to be eligible for a driver manager position.

Customer Service Representative
De Pere, WI; Joliet, IL

Quality service is critical in today’s transportation environment. WEL is seeking quality people who can work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment and provide quality service both internally and externally. Positive communication skills and attitude are required. Our Customer Service Team is responsible for communicating with vendors, resolving service issues, assisting in solicitation of new freight, setting load and delivery appointments, and accepting load tenders. Transportation experience and a bachelor’s degree are preferred, but not required.

Planners
De Pere, WI

We are proud to say that our success and growth has come from hardworking individuals willing to learn and grow. Interns are assigned several business-critical tasks for many of our high- profile customers. Successful interns will end their internship with a comprehensive knowledge of the transportation industry and may have the opportunity to come back with a full-time career.

Transportation Internship
De Pere, WI

WEL has three company shops who dedicate their time working on our company fleet of vehicles. We take pride in maintaining our fleet and working with our internal departments to verify that we run and maintain our tractor and trailers above safety and efficiency standards. Our fleet includes Kenworth and Peterbilt tractors and Thermo King and Carrier reefers. We prefer to hire technicians with experience however, we are willing to work with the right candidate on providing in-house training.

Shop

De Pere, WI; Winterhaven, FL; Allentown, PA

Safety Department

De Pere, WI

The Safety Department handles all insurance claims, OS & D, and safety-related incidents with our company drivers, customers, and independent contractors. Safety associates help verify, train, lead and coach that all government and company policies and regulations are being followed. We take pride in our CSA scores and strive to make the industry healthier and safer.

Sales Department

De Pere, WI

WEL’s Sales Department handles all of the front-end conversations between internal and external customers. Building trustworthy and solid relationships with our customers is the key and expectation to help retain and increase truckload and warehouse revenue. Sales will assist with other departments regarding rates, accessorial and detention charges.

Accounting/Payroll

De Pere, WI

Our Accounting and Payroll divisions handle everything from Accounts Receivables, Payables, Plates, Permits, Tax Credits, Driver and Non Driver Payroll and Independent Contractor Settlements.

Human Resources/Recruiting

De Pere, WI

Human Resources and Recruiting manage the recruitment all new driver and non-driver employees and independent contractors. Each department dedicates their time to providing a smooth onboarding experience for the new team member. Human Resources also manages all employee benefits throughout the organization.

Administration and Other Support Positions

De Pere, WI

WEL has several administration and other support positions within the organization. Some of the examples include handling driver paperwork, billing, and reception. These entry level positions provide a great platform to starting your transportation industry career!

Warehouse

De Pere, WI; Edgar, WI; Joliet, IL; Allentown, PA; Winterhaven, FL; McDonough, GA

WEL owns and operates several refrigerated warehouses throughout the U.S. Each temperature- controlled warehouse is responsible for storage, receiving, shipping, and delivery of goods. Warehouse associates are responsible for ensuring the goods are handled in a safe and appropriate manner, exceeding the customers’ expectations.

IT

De Pere, WI

WEL’s IT Department manages, integrates, and supplies the information needed for reporting and managing our successful business. EDI support, network and system analysts, and database administrators make up the department that helps WEL continue to help develop our processes that lead to growth and efficiency.
